It has been quite some time since we have seen Megastar Chiranjeevi’s film in theatres. He was supposed to release his big-budget film Vishwambara, but due to post-production delay, the film is yet to lock its release date despite being in the making for over two years.

Now, we have a very interesting update regarding the film’s title. A source close to the unit has revealed that the makers are planning to name the film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.

Not many know that Chiranjeevi’s original name is Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad, and director Anil Ravipudi is reportedly using this birth name as the film’s title by tweaking it. Though an official confirmation is yet to be made, this news has already gone viral in film circles.

Nayanthara plays the female lead, and this marks her first romantic on-screen pairing with Chiranjeevi. Reports suggest that Chiranjeevi will be seen as a drill master in a school, while Nayanthara plays a teacher, and they have major ego issues. A major portion of the film has been shot in the beautiful locations of Mussoorie.

As per the latest update, 50% of the shoot has been completed, and the team is currently on a short break. The unit will regroup in August to shoot two songs and a few talkie portions. The makers have already announced that this yet-untitled film will be released during Sankranti 2026, in January.

Venkatesh to play a special role in Chiranjeevi's next

Chiranjeevi is known for his comic timing and to make things even more exciting, Anil Ravipudi has roped in star hero Venkatesh with whom he made one of Telugu cinema’s biggest hits, Sankranthiki Vasthunna, which grossed over ₹300 crores at the box office.
