It has been quite a long time since we’ve seen Megastar Chiranjeevi on the big screen. His last film, Bholaa Shankar, ended as a disastrous flop at the box office. Following that, he took some time off and signed young director Vassistha's Vishwambara. Sadly, the film has been in the making for over two years and is yet to lock a release date, mainly due to pending VFX work.

Putting that aside, Chiranjeevi quickly signed star director Anil Ravipudi’s next, which features Nayanthara as the female lead. Anil Ravipudi, known for completing films in quick succession, has already wrapped up 50% of the shoot as per the latest update.

We at OTTplay had earlier reported that Chiranjeevi’s team was filming a romantic song and a few fun portions in Alappuzha, Kerala. That schedule, which had been going on for the past 12 days, finally wrapped up today. The makers shared a special picture featuring Chiranjeevi and Anil Ravipudi boarding a flight back to Hyderabad. Along with it, they confirmed that half of the film’s shoot is now complete.

Catherine Tresa is also playing a key role in the film, which includes star hero Venkatesh in an important guest appearance. Anil Ravipudi had previously delivered a massive Sankranti hit, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, starring Venkatesh in the lead. So, he has written a special role for Venkatesh in Chiranjeevi’s next, and this is expected to be a major highlight of the film.

Venkatesh to join the sets of Chiranjeevi's next

The buzz is that Venkatesh is yet to join the sets and will soon participate in a schedule where he will shoot key scenes alongside Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara. Bheems Ceciroleo is composing the music for the film and has already completed four songs.

There is massive hype surrounding the project, and the pre-release business is being locked at record prices. Sudhakar Cherukuri and Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmita are jointly producing this massive untitled film, which is set for a Sankranti 2026 release in January.
