The much-awaited trailer for Chup: Revenge of the Artist is finally out. The thriller flick directed by R Balki features Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, Dulquer Salmaan, and Shreya Dhanwanthary in the lead roles. The makers have been teasing posters and short clips from the film ahead of the trailer, and now the plot of Chup is finally out. The murder mystery is based on a serial killer who hunts film critics who give bad ratings to films.

Sunny is seen as an investigating officer in the film who is searching for this serial killer who can't handle negative criticism of the film. Whereas Pooja plays a psychiatrist in the thriller and is seen interrogating someone in the trailer. On the other hand, Dulquer and Shreya have a romantic angle, but there's some twisted, thrilling undertone to it.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan has made his music composing debut for Chup. Balki discussed this and remarked that it was all extremely spontaneous. He had requested that Bachchan see Chup. The megastar invited the filmmaker over after seeing it, played him a song on his piano, and explained that this is how the movie and the characters made him feel. Bachchan was really moved and Balki was overjoyed.

The legendary star quickly gave the song to the movie after the director asked him whether he could use it. The first movie to include his official work as the credits' music is Chup.

R. Balki and Amitabh have already collaborated on numerous significant projects, including Paa, Cheeni Kum and Shamitabh. Aside from these, the renowned actor appeared in English Vinglish, Ki and Ka, and Balki's Padman in cameo parts.

The movie is promoted as a romantic psycho-thriller. The movie is reportedly a tribute to Guru Dutt, a master director, and his 1959 masterpiece, Kaagaz Ke Phool.

On September 23, 2022, the psycho-thriller Chup is set to be released in theatres.
