Days after Citadel: Diana was out for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, we finally got a glimpse of the Indian version of Citadel. The show, helmed by Raj and DK, is a continuation of the American and Italian versions. The trailer was launched with the media’s presence, and Raj and DK spilled some beans about being associated with the project featuring Varun Dhawan and Samantha in the lead roles. Raj and DK’s first meeting with Russo Brothers has Iron Man and Thanos connection

Raj and DK recalled their first meeting for being a part of the multiverse. "We had to say yes," Raj Nidimoru shared at the launch with a laugh.

He further recalled flying down to LA to meet the Russo Brothers and their team. Raj spilled that Krishna D.K. wore Iron Man's glove while he wore the Thanos glove in their office. For the uninitiated, the Russo Brothers have helmed the legendary Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including Avengers: Endgame, which had the ultimate battle between Iron Man and Thanos.

Raj then shared that they were unsure about what to pitch to the Russo Brothers, but also mentioned how they are really keen about it. The Russo Brothers let Raj and DK do things their way rather than inform them about what to do.

"We love your voice and style, so whatever story you guys think will fit in the universe, go for it," Raj recalled the conversation, adding that they have been very collaborative since.

Raj and DK discussed the long process, post which DK spoke about getting an opportunity to sit with everybody associated with Citadel America and get a glimpse into how they work. The director duo sat through the script-reading session with the whole team, with them breaking each scene down. He promises that they have learned a lot after seeing that process and will be able to use that going forward.
