Ever since the trailer was launched by Mega Star Chiranjeevi, the crime drama has become a talking point on social media. Going back in time, the makers of Constable Kanakam filed a case against ZEE5’s show Virat Paalem PC Meena Reporting that they had copied the story of Constable Kanakam and made the series without any prior notification. The director, Prasanth Dimmala, cried foul, stating that he had submitted the story to ZEE5 a long time ago, but they had made it into Viraatapalem with all newcomers and a young team. Still, he stated that his team did not lose hope, and they went ahead to make their series and will surprise everyone well ahead of the release.

One of the sources close to the show revealed that the story has been changed by the makers of Constable Kanakam. Though the basic concept is about the disappearance of women in a small village, how it has been treated and set amidst a forest backdrop is going to be one of the highlights. The source goes on to add that Constable Kanakam has some great visuals and a thumping background score, which elevates the suspense to another level.

Varsham Bollama's performance to be one of the highlights

Varsha Bolllama plays the female lead, and she will be seen as Constable Kanakam in the series, which also has Rajiv Kanakala and Prem Sagar in key roles. Some big names like veteran producer Kovelamudi Siva Prasad have produced the show, which has been made on a decent budget. Constable Kanakam has six episodes and can also be streamed on OTT Play Premium.
