Director Prashanth Kumar Dimmala filed a case against the makers of another web series, Viraatapalem PC Meena Reporting, for stealing his story and turning it into a web series.

Constable Kanakam season 2 to be bigger and better

While Viraatapalem did not impress many, Constable Kanakam ended as a decent series. Varsha Bollama played the main lead in this series, and she is all set to be back with season 2. Initially, we at OTTplay had already reported that the series was supposed to be out in October 2025, but ETV Win has decided to release it in the first week of December 2025.

The same was announced through a new poster, which said that season 2 is going to be a storm. Constable Kanakam is a cop thriller headlined by Varsha Bollama and showcases the story of women going missing in a specific forest area.

An innocent constable, along with the help of her co-worker played by Rajeev Kanakala, begins their investigation. The first season ended on a gripping note, and everyone is eager to see what the second season is up to.

Varsha Bollama's performance was one of the biggest highlights of season 1, and in one of her promotional interviews, Varsha revealed that season 2 will have more twists and turns, with the concept and execution being top-notch.
