The film is streaming on Prime Video and is available to watch in multiple languages. Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is the highest grosser in Tamil cinema so far in 2025.

Coolie, the recently released film after its theatrical run, has found a streaming home in Prime Video. Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, marking his maiden collaboration with Rajinikanth, it was established that Coolie will not be an LCU film. However, expectations on the film had only increased. But soon after its theatrical release in August, Coolie had opened to disappointing reviews, with many fans pointing out weak writing and screenplay.

Coolie is an action thriller and revolves around a mansion owner named Deva. After he gets to know that his friend Rajasekhar has died, he goes in search to find answers after coming to realise that it is not a natural death. This leads Deva to a crime syndicate run by Simon, who does not seem to recollect where he saw Deva last.

Coolie is loaded with star names. Right from Nagarjuna and Soubin Shahir playing the villains, Upendra and Aamir Khan making cameo appearances, Coolie also features Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Kanna Ravi, Rachitha Ram and others. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Coolie had become the top grosser of Tamil cinema this year, with a worldwide collection of over Rs 500 crore. Standing tall at Rs 514 crore at the box office across the world, the film has grossed Rs 337 crore in India. It is to be noted that the collection is high, given Coolie is A certified film.
