The cop drama, written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, is nearing completion and will release in summer 2023

Naga Chaitanya, who had a busy 2022 with shoots of multiple projects, three major releases and a Hindi film debut, will hope to start this year with a bang with his next release, Custody, written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. The bilingual, simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil, marks his debut in the Tamil industry. Krithi Shetty plays the female lead in the film, labelled a summer treat, slated to release on May 12 this year.

Leading actors from both the industries including Arvind Swami, Priyamani, Sharat Kumar, Sampath Raj, Premgi Amaren, Vennela Kishore and Premi Vishwanath essay important roles in the film that is nearing completion. After releasing the first look of Naga Chaitanya and the glimpse, the makers of Custody unveiled the first look of Krithi Shetty as Revathi today. Needless to say, the look draws your curiosity instantly.

Going by the look, Revathi is a woman who’s behind bars and is dressed in a girl-next-door avatar. The look that’s styled more like a painting warrants your interest too. This is Krithi Shetty’s second Tamil film after The Warriorr, another Telugu-Tamil bilingual. Custody is bankrolled by Srinvasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Father-son composer duo Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja are coming up with the music score.

Srinivasaa Silver Screen’s earlier release was The Warriorr. Meanwhile, Custody has cinematography by Kathir and dialogues by Abburi Ravi. Pavan Kumar is the presenter and Venkat Raajen is the editor. Rajeevan is the production designer.
