In just over 45 days, Challenging Star Darshan’s next, after the 2021 Roberrt, Kranti, will be in theatres on the Republic Day holiday. Amid all the promotional interviews that he has been doing, Darshan and the team have also been excited about the launch of the first song from the film – Dharani.

Moments ago, the song, which was premiered on composer and director V Harikrishna’s dBeats YouTube channel, is an absolute treat for fans of the Challenging Star, as it has far more visuals from the actual film than normal lyrical videos have. The song has singing credits to Pancham Jeeva, Santhosh Venky, Aniruddha Sastry, Madhwesh Baradwaj, Vihan, Khushala, Lakshmi Vijay, Meghana Kulkarni, Pooja Rao, Archana and Prarthana, who together present a goosebump-inducing experience.

The song, a tribute to Kannada and the motherland, written by V Nagendra Prasad also has fleeting glimpses of leading lady Rachita Ram, producer-actor B Suresha and Achyuth Kumar as teachers at the Kannada-medium school that Darshan’s character comes to save. There’s also a glimpse of Crazy Star V Ravichandran, who plays Darshan’s father in the film, Girija Lokesh and Samyuktha Hornad.

Interestingly, Dharani is also being released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi today at 9 pm. The team, it seems, is going ahead with its pan-India release plan for Kranti, even though lead actor Darshan has been categoric that as far as he is concerned, he has made a Kannada film, which he will promote in Karnataka and nowhere else. Dubbing and releasing it in other languages was up to the production house, he had said.

Kranti is Darshan’s second film with Harikrishna in the director’s chair and producer’s Shylaja Nag and Suresha. It reunites him with his Bulbul and Ambareesha co-star Rachita Ram too. The actor has apparently agreed to be a part of Shylaja Nag and Suresha’s next big production as well, which he will do after two back-to-back films with Tharun Sudhir.
