Nani, after two unique, critically acclaimed films like Ante Sundaraniki and Shyam Singha Roy, is taking the raw mass, mainstream route for his next action entertainer Dasara. The film, touted to be the most expensive project in his career, has him paired opposite his Nenu Local co-star Keerthy Suresh. Helmed by newcomer Srikanth Odela, the film is bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri under Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas. Samuthirakani and Sai Kumar too play important roles.

The makers of Dasara shared an interesting update today about the launch of their first single titled Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan. In a special promo video, Nani, dressed in a modern outfit, is sitting amidst the backdrop of a Silk Smitha portrait along with a bunch of people setting the tone for the song. Nani later says, "Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan.. the massiest, local street song ever, from the master himself..a Santhosh Narayanan musical (smiles at the Silk Smitha portrait)..are you ready?" The song, true to the title, is slated to release on the Dasara festival day.

The story unfolds in Singareni Coal Mines in Godavarikhani (Telangana) in Peddapalli district. While Zarina Wahab was initially cast as Nani's on-screen mother in the project, she had to back out owing to a schedule clash with another Hindi project. Santhosh Narayanan's other notable Telugu releases include Guru, Maine Pyar Kiya, to name a few. While Sathyan Sooryan ISC cranks the camera, Navin Nooli is the editor and Avinash Kolla is the production designer of the actioner respectively.

Dasara, which has stunt choreography the action director duo Anbariv, will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages on March 30, 2023. The producers Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas had multiple releases in the recent past - Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu, Virata Parvam and Ramarao on Duty. While Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu and Ramarao on Duty are streaming on SonyLIV, Virata Parvam can be watched on Netflix.
