Ram Charan is currently busy shooting for his new film Peddi, which is being directed by Buchi Babu Sana of Uppena fame. The action drama is all set to hit the screens on March 27, 2026, alongside Nani’s The Paradise. Over the last few weeks, there were reports that Nani might postpone his film and was not keen on clashing with Peddi. However, Nani slammed these rumours and confirmed that his film will release on March 27, 2026.

Is Ram Charan's Peddi getting postponed?

Now, things have taken a turn as news has emerged that the makers of Peddi are indeed planning to change the film’s release date. A source close to the unit revealed that serious discussions are underway, as Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, and is expected to dominate the box office for at least a week. Since Peddi is a pan-India film featuring Ram Charan, the makers do not want to take a risk and are considering a postponement.

The team is now looking at an April 20206 release to arrive solo. This move would benefit Nani’s film, as it is a local Telugu release, and Dhurandhar 2’s dominance may not affect it at the regional box office.

However, the same cannot be said for Peddi, which is releasing in multiple languages. The source also added that while the producers are keen on postponing, the director feels that the March 27, 2026, date is ideal and should not be changed even if a big film like Dhaurandhar 2 gets released.

Chikiri from Peddi creates a sensation of sorts

Although an official confirmation is yet to be made, this news has been doing the rounds in film circles. AR Rahman has composed the music for the film, and the first single, Chikiri, has created a sensation, clocking over 100 million views in record time.
