Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar faced major issues before the release, but the film has been doing outstandingly both at the domestic and worldwide box office. While Dhurandhar collected Rs. 572.25 crore at the Indian box office, it surpassed Kantara: Chapter 1 and Chhaava at the worldwide box office to become no 1 Indian film of 2025.

Dhurandhar creates history at worldwide box office

As per Sacnilk, Dhurandhar crossed the lifetime worldwide collection of Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1. The Kannada-language epic mythological action film minted Rs. 852.31 crore internationally, while Dhurandhar collected Rs. 876.5 crore and is still going strong. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava collected Rs. 807.91 crore at the worldwide box office.

Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna's Dhurandhar is also not far away from surpassing Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. It has already beaten Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film at the domestic box office. Meanwhile, Animal's worldwide box office collection is Rs. 915 crore, and Dhurandhar is expected to surpass it in a few days.

Dhurandhar follows Hamza (Ranveer Singh), a Punjabi resident whose family is destroyed, leading him to become a hardened criminal recruited by the Indian Intelligence Bureau (IB) for "Operation Dhurandhar" to destroy Pakistan's Lyari underworld and its terror networks, led by Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna).
