It has been a while since the rumours about Hindi actor Aamir Khan being part of upcoming Tamil film Coolie, been doing rounds. But the latest post that comes from director Lokesh Kanagaraj, seems to have only strengthened the speculation. Incidentally, both Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj celebrate their birthdays on Friday (March 14). Did Lokesh softly launch Aamir Khan's involvement in Coolie? Let's find out.

HBD Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj: Is the Bollywood actor making appearance in Coolie?

Coolie is one of the most anticipated Tamil films in the making, with superstar Rajinikanth headlining the film. It is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj who is celebrating his birthday on March 14. While there have been rumours doing rounds that Aamir Khan will be making an appearance in the film which is already star-studded with pan-Indian cast, the latest post made by Lokesh is only reaffirming the speculations.

With Lokesh and Aamir Khan celebrating their birthdays on the same day, Lokesh made a heartfelt post about Aamir Khan. He wrote, “Wishing you a very happy birthday #AamirKhan sir. Very grateful for the lovely conversations we've had. Your insights and passion for storytelling have always left me inspired. Here's to creating more magic on screen in the coming years and excited to share this special day with you, sir.”

This could possibly mean that Lokesh has subtly hinted that he has met Aamir Khan, most possibly for Coolie.

All you need to know about Coolie

Very much like other Lokesh Kanagaraj films, Coolie will also be an action thriller, a genre that is explored more in Tamil cinema. With Rajinikanth playing the lead role, it also stars Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj and others, with Pooja Hegde making a song appearance.

A release date for the film is yet to be announced. Produced by Sun Pictures, and music by Anirudh Ravichander, Coolie is expected to have Rajinikanth carry his onscreen charisma like always with the flavour of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s storytelling.
