Shruti Das and Swarnendu Samaddar open up about their married life in Rachna Banerjee's reality show, Didi No 1

Swarnendu Samadder, Rachna Benerjee, and Shruti Das

Shruti Das and Swarnendu Samaddar got married to each other in July 2023. Swarnendu was the director of Shruti’s first serial Trinayani. After dating for four years, they wed each other. Now, they were seen together on the stage of Didi Number 1. 

Rachna asked Swarnendu, “How is Shruti as a wife?” Swarnendu replied, “Kid.” He added, “I call her kid-wife. She is still childish. People gain experience while handling problems and success. She will also have that gradually. We teach each other while staying together. She taught me the importance of savings. I used to think of spending whatever was in hand. But she taught me to think about tomorrow because of any emergency.” 

Rachna wondered, “How can someone be a kid if she talks like that?” Shruti also jokingly agreed to it. Rachna asked Ranga Bou Shruti whether her husband had any OCD. Shruti said, “He has superstitions.” 

Swarnendu replied, “If I go out wearing a shirt and it becomes a bad day, then I will never wear the shirt in the future.” Shruti added, “If on some days I ask him to shave, he will say that this is not a good day. He had a ponytail a few days back but changed it. He says it was not good for him.”

Do they fight? Both of them said that they fight a lot. Swarnendu said, “We fight every day in every word. I believe that if you don’t fight, then you have no love. She dreams about something, wakes up, and fights on it.” 

Shruti talked about her funny habit. “Suppose I dreamt of a girl who I don’t like and who was once close to him. Suppose I dreamt that he was taking care of her. Then I will wake up and fight with him. He wonders why I fight. If I tell her name, he tells me that he doesn’t think about her as much as I think.” 

They have an age difference of fourteen years. They were trolled because of this. Now, they made fun of the fact. 

A few days back, Shruti shared photos and videos of their first Jamai Shashti. Her parents treated Swarnendu with Biryani. Swarnendu’s parents celebrated Bouma Shashti for Shruti also, keeping all the rituals.
