Dies Irae box office collection day 18: Malyalam actor Pranav Mohanlal may have just two major releases in two years, but the young actor has ensured score hits with both. After his 2024 hit film Varshangalkku Shesham, Pranav Mohanlal has once again recorded Rs 80 crore with his latest film Dies Irae, a horror thriller, as per Sacnilk report. Dies Irae: The Day of Wrath is helmed by director Rahul Sadasivan, adding yet another horror tale to his filmography. Pranav Mohanlal leads the 2025 Malayalam film, which has garnered Rs 80.1crore in worldwide collections as it completes 18 days at the box office, according to tracker Sacnilk. This is the second film of Pranav Mohanlal to hit 80 crore after Varshangalkku Shesham made Rs 81.7 crore in 2024. Varshangalkku Shesham is helmed by actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan, and also starred his brother and actor Dhyan in the lead role. The 2024 film is streaming on SonyLiv via OTTplay Premium.

On the other hand, Dies Irae has been on a downward slide in its third week with day 18 recording just Rs 0.35 crore in India net collection. The total India collections stand at Rs 39.9 crore. The prospects do not look positive for the Pranav-starrer as the upcoming Friday will see two major releases of Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran-led Vilaayath Budha and young actor Sandeep Pradeeep-starrer Eko, which is helmed by Kishkindha Kaandam makers.

Dies Irae revolves around Rohan, a young and rich architect, who begins to experience eerie happenings at his house after his former girlfriend’s death. Disturbed and scared by this supernatural presence, he sets out to find the truth. Gibin Gopinath and Jaya Kurup play other key roles in the horror thriller film, which opened in theatres on October 31 after winning positive feedback during paid premieres on the day before.
