After a stellar run at the cinemas, Dies Irae is all set to release online on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium on December 5, 2025. Where to watch Dies Irae on OTT

The 2025 Malayalam horror film, Dies Irae, which hit cinemas on October 31 for Halloween,will make its digital debut within little over a month of its theatrical release, the platform JioHotstar has announced on social media. OTTplay Premium subscribers can also watch the horror thriller from next Friday, December 5. But the platform did not specify if the Malayalam film would be available in other language options as well.

What’s the plot of Dies Irae

Pranav Mohanlal ventured into the supernatural world crafted by Rahul Sadasivan for the first time with Dies Irae. He played Rohan, a rich architect, whose former girlfriend Kani is found dead. He visits Kani’s house but upon returning to his house, he feels the presence of her spirit. But why is Kani’s spirit troubling him, is there more to the paranormal presence around him that just refuses to leave? As Rohan sets out to find the truth, he comes across haunting revelations about spirits that refuse to the leave the world of mortals.

Apart from Pranav, Jibin Gopinath also won praise for his performance as Potti, Kani’s neighbor, who also tries to help Rohan. Padakkalam actor Arun Ajikumar also impresses in a short role. Apart from winning glowing reviews, Pranav Mohanlal's film also recorded remarkable box office numbers.

With Dies Irae, Rahul Sadasivan has pulled off a hattrick of successes after Bhoothakaalam and Bramayugam. Notably both Revathy and Mammootty had won state awards for their performances in Rahul’s two films.
