Diesel trailer out: Harish Kalyan in action avatar; film talks about crude oil mafia

The trailer of Diesel, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Harish Kalyan in the lead role, is now out. The film is one of the three Tamil films competing at the box office for Diwali. Diesel will release on October 17.

Diesel is an upcoming Tamil film scheduled to release on October 17. Ahead of this, the trailer of the film released. Harish Kalyan who was seen in two critically acclaimed films; Lubber Pandhu and Parking, is back with Diesel this year.

The voiceover for Diesel is given by actor Manikandan, who had also recently dubbed for Kantara: Chapter 1 in Tamil. It begins with how diesel and petrol are sold at lower prices in the market and how there is a big mafia behind this. The characters are introduced, and so is the protagonist, played by Harish Kalyan. We also get a glimpse of the Beer song. Jumping back to the plot, someone is in search of the large quantity of crude oil stocked somewhere. Vinay Rai comes as a cop in Diesel. Harish Kalyan is seen in an action avatar in this film.

Diesel release date:

Diesel is releasing on October 17 in theatres. The film will be competing with two other Tamil flicks, namely Bison, directed by Mari Selvaraj and is a sports drama based on kabaddi. There is also Dude starring actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan, which is also releasing on October 17. The post-theatrical streaming rights of Diesel have not yet been revealed.

Starring Harish Kalyan, the film’s cast also includes actors Harish Kalyan, Athulyaa Ravi, Vinay Rai, Sai Kumar, Ananya, Karunaas, Bose Venkat, Ramesh Tilak, Kaali Venkat, Vivek Prasanna, Sachin Kedhekar, Zakir Husain, Thangadurai, Maaran, KPY Dheena, Apoorva Singh. The film is written and directed by Shanmugam Muthusamy, with music composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas. Diesel is shot by cinematographer MS Prabhu and Richard M.Nathan. San Lokesh is the editor.
