Dimple Kapadia has already delivered three applaudable projects this year. She began 2023 with the film Pathaan in which she portrayed a mentor to Shah Rukh Khan's character, and continued with the comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo, a crime drama. The actor, at age 65, is busier than ever.

Given that she was born into a generation where the careers of female actors were considered disposable, Dimple feels fortunate about her current situation. The actor told Midday that there is no justification for her current situation. The fact that other people enjoy her work is a huge source of satisfaction for her. She has always been told how stunning she is, but the question always lingered: "Can I act?" That was a constant thought in her head.

Therefore, when Dimple began her second inning in the early 1980s, she preferred to work on Sadma [1983] until Sagar [1985]. However, fate had other plans for her. Perhaps God saw that she was not yet prepared to do a Sadma.

Dimple manages to be both likeable and evil in her new Disney+ Hotstar series, in which she plays the matriarch of a drug cartel. The actor muses, saying that despite her craziness, there is a certain vulnerability to her. Homi Adajania, who feels lost without her, was happy to see her again. When asked if they treat her as royalty, she chuckled and said that whoever said that she is a star on Homi's set is talking rubbish. Dimple is supposed to find out what kind of food he wants and bring it to him. All of this is done because she enjoys spending time with and working alongside him so much. The actor finds comfort in his insanity; it's a shared trait.

Rudaali (1993), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), and Christopher Nolan's Tenet (2020) are just some of the remarkable roles that Dimple has played throughout her five-decade career. According to her, she has always been on the lookout for new filmmaking challenges. People asked her how she could play a mother to a seven-year-old when she made the 1987 film Kaash. She would be great in glitzy parts. People began to label her as such. However, Dimple has never worried about being labelled. All that mattered to her was giving her all to whatever role she was playing.
