Director Ameer to revive film Santhana Devan starring Arya and Sathya

Director Ameer to revive film Santhana Devan starring Arya and Sathya

After almost a decade, director Ameer will be seen donning the hat of a director again to revive the film Santhana Devan. The filmmaker had announced the film starring Arya and his brother Sathya in the lead roles in 2018. However, the film didn't go through due to some unavoidable circumstances. But as per the latest reports, the director is now all set to revive the project.

Santhana Devan was put on hold due to financial issues, but now the director is said to resolve the issue. The movie will be transferred to a different production house, and the filming will start once the official formalities and paperwork are completed.

While Arya and Sathya will take the lead roles in the movie, the director will also be seen in a crucial role. Mirna Menon and Kruthika Jayakumar will be playing the female leads in the movie. The movieis said to revolve around the ancient Tamil sport of Jallikattu. The movie will have music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Director Ameer is best known for having helmed some classic movies such as Mounam Pesiyathey starring Suriya and Trisha, Raam which has Jiiva in the lead, and Paruthiveeran which saw Karthi make his feature film debut. He last put on the director’s hat in the 2013 movie, Aadhi Bhagavan starring Jayam Ravi.

There are also reports that Ameer will be playing a role in Maaran a project for which Dhanush is currently working on. The director, who often plays small roles in films, previously played an important role in Dhanush’s Vada Chennai directed by Vetri Maaran.
