Opening up about her Telugu debut, Divya Dutta said that though she mostly delivered her lines in English, a few Telugu dialogues were quite hard-hitting, and she used to memorize those lines ahead of the shoot. “I have been flooded with back-to-back messages about my performance, and I am thrilled. During the making, I knew this show would work big time, as the passion with which Deva Katta was working was evident on the sets. I played a controversial PM in the series, and the response to my performance has been amazing,” she said.

The actress further added that the rooted nature of the script and the narration of real-life events with clarity and ease made the show a super hit. She is also confident that more offers will come her way in Telugu now that she has made her debut. “I never thought I would be welcomed with such a warm response, and I am open to taking up more roles in Telugu films in the future,” she said.

Mayasabha is a smash hit on OTTplay

Mayasabha is based on the political legends of Andhra, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. The nine-episode series depicts their friendship and how the two leaders eventually became chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh, ruling the state in their own styles.

Aadhi Pinisetty, Chaitanya Rao, and Shatru also played key roles in the series. The veteran actress, Sai Kumar, played the role of senior NTR, and his performance was one of the highlights of the show.
