DNA trailer out: Set to release on June 20, the Nelson Venkatesan film features Atharvaa Murali and Nimisha Sajayan in an intense drama

DNA is an upcoming Tamil film starring actors Atharvaa Murali and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles. Directed by filmmaker Nelson Venkatesan, who earlier made films like Monster and Farhana the film is gearing up for release on June 20. Ahead of release, the makers of DNA released an intriguing trailer of the film, setting up an intense mood.

The trailer begins with an old woman looking at a maternity hospital. Soon, with intercuts of a temple celebration, some fights and intense music being played, we are introduced to Atharvaa. We then see Nimisha, who is hinted to be not 'normal', as we are shown the duo getting married after an arrangement.
However, we see that they are having a baby, and Nimisha is concerned if her husband will take care of the infant if it is like her, hinting that she suffers from something. Soon, the baby is born, and a series of events takes place, leading to tension between the couple. An unknown conflict seems to be looming, and it has got to do with the baby. The couple go through a lot, and we see some stunt sequences as well.
Apart from Nirangal Moondru actor and Nimisha, Balaji Sakthivel, Ramesh Thilak, Viji Chandrasekar, Chetan, Riythvika KP, Subramanian Siva, Karunakaran, and Pasanga Sivakumar are also part of the DNA cast. Written and directed by Nelson Venkatesan, the film is produced by Jayanthi Ambedkar. DNA is set to release in theatres on June 20. It marks the first time Atharva and Nimisha Saja yan are collaborating for the first time. The Great Indian Kitchen actor has appeared in Tamil films like Mission: Chapter 1 Jigarthanda Double X and Chittha.
The background score is by Ghibran Vaibodha, while Sreekanth Hariharan, Sathya Prakash, Anal Akash, Praveen Saivi, and Sahi Siva have worked as composers. Parthiban D.F.T has shot the film and Sabu Joseph VJ is the editor. JioHotstar has bagged the post-theatrical rights of the film.
