Taapsee Pannu is gearing up for a mind bending adventure in Anurag Kashyap’s directorial Dobaara. As promised, the makers have unveiled the trailer for the upcoming film, which promises to be a mystery that keeps viewers guessing.

Kashyap shared the trailer on his official social media handles. The trailer follows the story of Antara’s(Pannu) family, who receive warning that a powerful geomagnetic storm is about to make its way to the city. As the family settle into their new house, they happen upon an old television left by the previous occupants of the house. Slowly, they get to know of the tragedy that happened in their old home, and Antara gets a chance to make things right. But her actions cause unimaginable damage to her present, and she is joined in her quest to make things right by a police officer.

Sharing the trailer, Kashyap captioned it “The portals have opened up. The mystery has been revealed. Antara is determined to make sense of it all, are you?”

In addition to Pannu, Dobaara also stars Pavail Gulati in a leading role. Gulati and Pannu had also starred together in Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad(2020). Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Sunir Kheterpala nd Gaurav Bose have produced the film. The film has been produced under the banners of Cult Movies and ATHENA.

The upcoming film is the Hindi adaptation of the 2018 Spanish film Mirage, directed by Oriol Paulo. Starring Adriana Ugarte, Chino Darín, Álvaro Morte, Javier Gutiérrez and Nora Navas, the film is available for streaming on Netflix.

The upcoming film had its world premiere at this year’s London Indian Film Festival and will also be shown at the upcoming Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

Dobaaraa will hit the big screens on August 19, 2022.
