Director Siva Nageswara Rao, who gained fame for his quirky comedies over the years, is making a comeback with yet another comic caper. Titled Dochevarevarura, the film features Ajay Ghosh, Bithiri Sathi, Pranava Chandra and Malavika Satheesan in pivotal roles. The film largely featuring newcomers is bankrolled by Boddu Koteswara Rao under IQ Creations.

The film was in the news recently for its teaser launched by filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who expressed his admiration for Siva Nageswara Rao’s style of filmmaking. The makers are happy with the response for the teaser, song and the first look. The team, which has wrapped the shoot, is busy lending final touches to the result. The director, meanwhile, spoke about the film’s release plans.

“Dochevarevura has shaped up well beyond our expectations. I am thankful to the producer for not compromising on the film’s budget and quality during the making. We plan to release the film in September. The film will resonate with audiences and entertain them thoroughly,” said Siva Nageswara Rao, who also had a brief stint with television a few years ago.

With Dochevarevarura, the director is keen to live up to his reputation as a dark comedies specialist and is hopeful of it becoming a trendsetter. He was inspired by films like Charlie Chaplin’s The Kid, The Godfather to write a story revolving around five elements - money, chastity, life, love and comedy. Rohith Vardhan has scored the music for the film.

The film has three parallel threads centred on a boy and a youngster, a lovestruck couple and identical twins. All hell breaks loose when these characters lose something. Siva Nageswara Rao has also turned a lyricist for a song in the film titled ‘Lapati pakala soolle maala soolle baaku’ written in an idiosyncratic language. Pranav Chandra, the lead, is the son of lyricist Chaitanya Prasad.
