Doctor becomes Sivakarthikeyan’s highest grossing movie

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the movie also stars Priyanka Mohan, Vinay Rai and Yogi Babu

Sivakarthikeyan has become one of the most popular actors in the Tamil film industry today. The star has also become a bankable actor and is producing big numbers in his latest release, Doctor.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Doctor was released a few weeks ago and became a hit among fans with its use of comedy, emotions and action. The movie was also received well by critics.

As reported by Times of India, the movie has now become the highest grossing movie in Sivakarthikeyan’s career.

Reports suggest that the dark comedy action thriller has collected close to Rs 90 crore worldwide. This amount surpasses Sivakarthikeyan’s Velaikkaran, which has grossed Rs 86 crore worldwide.

However, Doctor’s successful run does not seem to have slowed down. Fans are still packing screens to get a glimpse of the movie that packs a number of laughs.

Also, Doctor is set to get a release in the state of Kerala this Thursday, as theatres reopen in the state. The movie has bagged 111 screens across the state, where the star has a decent amount of fans.

With more fans ready to hit theatres to catch the movie, Doctor can be expected to cross the 100 crore mark.

With the star also taking up the producer's role, the movie also stars Priyanka Mohan, Vinay Rai, Yogi Babu, Milind Soman, Archana Chandhoke and Redin Kingsley among others. The movie also has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
