Dominic And The Ladies' Purse, the Malayalam film starring actor Mammootty in the lead role, saw the actor collaborating with director Gautham Vasudev Menon for the first time. The crime comedy film which released in theatre a couple of days back, has collected Rs 2.95 crore so far.

Dominic And The Ladies' Purse is a recently released Malayalam film which features actor Mammootty in the titular role as a sleuth who is probing a case. The film is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon in his Malayalam debut.

The film released in theatres on January 23, and has managed to collect Rs 2.95 crore in two days. Although the film received middling reviews, Dominic And The Ladies' Purse began on a decent note at the box office. It has been indeed a dull start for Malayalam cinema this year, especially when the industry had churned blockbuster after other in 2024.

Produced by Mammootty Kampany, Dominic And The Ladies' Purse story is penned by Neeraj Rajan. Apart from Mammootty, the film also stars actors Gokul Suresh, Lena, Vineeth, Siddique, and Shine Tom Chacko, among others.

In the film, actor Mammootty plays the role of a former cop who turns into a detective and runs a detective agency. For one such case, he takes up the responsibility of finding the owner of a purse, but there is more to it as the case soon turns into an investigation of two missing people.
