Dragon, the Tamil film which hit theatres on Friday, and starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role, has resonated with audience and seems to have become their favourite. The film has managed to collect Rs 6 crore at the box office on day of its release.

Following the success of Love Today, actor and filmmaker Pradeep Ranganthan joined hands with his longtime friend and director Ashwath Marimuthu for Dragon. The film released on January 21 (Friday) and has been doing well. Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film has collected Rs 6 crore on day one, as per Sacnilk report. The film is expected to have more audience over the weekend, and might have spike in its collection in the next two days.

On Friday, the film witnessed a good occupancy level, with several youngsters going to theatres. With the weekend following, family audience are expected to watch Dragon.

Also starring Anupama Parameswaran, Mysskin, Kayadu Lohar, Gautham Menon, VJ Siddhu, Harshanth Khan, KS Ravikumar, Gautham Menon and others, Dragon released along with Dhanush directorial Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.

Dragon OTT release: Film to stream on this platform

Leon James has scored the music and the cinematography is by Niketh Bommi. Pradeep E Ragav is the editor. The post theatrical rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix, which will premiere the film after its theatrical run.

Dragon is about D Ragavan, who is a topper in school but turns into a wastrel in college due to a specific reason. However, after his girlfriend breaks up with him after college due to his jobless nature, things take a different turn in Ragavan’s life.

The film marks Ashwath’s second directorial after Oh My Kadavule, which is streaming on ZEE5.
