Dude confirms Diwali clash with Love Insurance Kompany; First single Oorum Blood from Pradeep Ranganathan’s film to be out soon

In a sudden turn of events, it looks like actor and director Pradeep Ranganathan will have twin releases this Diwali, given both the makers of his upcoming films Dude and Love Insurance Kompany have announced the festive opening. A day after Love Insurance Kompany was scheduled for October 17, Dude makers put out a post announcing that the film will release for Diwali, with the first single Oorum Blood coming out on August 28.

Pradeep Ranganthan’s Dude first single to be out soon

We had earlier reported that director-turned-actor Pradeep Ranganathan will be starring in the upcoming Tamil film Dude. The film, which has Mamitha Baiju play the female lead, is helmed by debutant filmmaker Keerthiswaran, a former assistant of Sudha Kongara.

On Friday, the makers reaffirmed the Diwali release, along with the announcement of first single Oorum Blood, will be released on August 28. Sai Abhyankkar is scoring the music. Dude also stars actors Sarathkumar, Rohini Molleti, and Hridhu Haroon are also part of the cast. While not much is made known about the film, Dude is expected to be an out-and-out entertainer.

Love Insurance Kompany to compete with Dude

Meanwhile, Pradeep’s another film Love Insurance Kompany is a future-set romantic drama, written and directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film will have Krithi Shetty playing the female lead, with SJ Suryah, Seeman and Gouri Kishan in important roles. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music. Love Insurance Kompany will release in theatres on October 17 for Diwali, clashing with Dude, thus making it two releases for Pradeep Ranganthan.

On the other hand, both Love Insurance Kompany and Dude will have one more competitor, in form of sports drama Bison releasing for Diwali. The film is directed by Mari Selvaraj and stars Dhruv Vikram, Anupama Parameswaran, Lal, Rajisha Vijayan and others.
