Eko, the recently released Malayalam mystery thriller film has made its OTT debut and is available for streaming on Netflix. However, only the Malayalam version is there on the streaming giant. For those who want to watch the film in other languages, like Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, the wait is a little longer. Netflix will release Eko in other languages next week.

Malayalam cinema which had a fabulous run this year, had its latest acclaimed film Eko making its OTT debut recently. Netflix has bagged the streaming rights, and made it available. However, only the Malayalam version is streaming currently. Those who want to watch the film in other languages, have to wait a little longer. Netflix will release Eko in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi on January 7.
Eko is a mystery thriller directed by filmmaker Dinjith Ayyathan and written by Bahul Ramesh who also doubled up as cinematographer. Eko revolves around an elderly woman and her caretaker who reside among the misty hills of Kaattukunnu. On the other hand, her husband who is an infamous dog breeder and fugitive is being hunted, as the film uncovers some uncomfortable truths. The film opened to good reviews upon its theatrical release.
Eko is the third and final part in Bahul Ramesh's animal trilogy, after Kishkindha Kaandam and Kerala Crime Files 2, both of which are available on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium. Eko features a cast that comprises of Sandeep Pradeep, Narain, Saurabh Sachdeva, Biana Momin, Vineeth, Ashokan, Binu Pappu and others. With music by Mujeeb Majeed and editing handled by Sooraj ES, Eko had won acclaim from critics for its technical brilliance, performances and writing. Given its modest budget of Rs 5 crore, Eko had a fabulous run on the big screens and made Rs 50 crore making it a commercially successful film as well.
