Sandeep Pradeep's Eko surpasses Rs 50 crore mark

In just one month of its theatrical release, the film, starring Sandeep Pradeep in the lead role, has earned Rs 50 crore globally. In the top ten highest grossing Malayalam films of the year, it currently holds the tenth position. Considering that it was produced on a minimal budget of roughly Rs 5 crore, this is a noteworthy accomplishment. It remains to be seen, though, if the film will surpass Rekhachithram and Officer on Duty's revenue at the box office. Aside from these profits, Eko's digital rights were apparently purchased by Netflix for a substantial sum.

Recent sources state that Eko has been acquired by Netflix and will soon be available on the service. Although the popular streaming platform and the film's team have not yet confirmed this news, rumours claim that Netflix successfully concluded the deal by contacting the team rather than the other way around. It is expected to be online by the end of December or first week of January.
