Emily in Paris: Netflix renews Lily Collins' series for a third and fourth season

Lily Collins' Emily in Paris has not only been renewed for the third season but the fourth as well. Much to the excitement of the hit comedy series, which has had viewers hooked since 2020, Netflix made the announcement. The second season was released in December 2021, and it ended on a cliffhanger, hinting there's scope for another season. But the streaming platform announced two more seasons, which are likely to be released in two consecutive years.

Netflix took to their Instagram page to make the announcement. They shared a video montage of Emily in Paris with a caption stating, "Emily is coming back for seasons 3 & 4!" "Happy Monday."

In the second season, Emily is seen getting better at navigating the city now that she's settled in, but she's still grappling with the quirks of French living. After stumbling into a love triangle with her neighbor and first true French friend, Emily is determined to focus on her profession, which is becoming more complicated by the day. She meets a fellow expat in French class who both irritates and intrigues her.

The series, which is set and produced in Paris, follows Emily, an American who travels to France to bring an American perspective to Savoir, a French marketing business. She tries to excel in business while looking for love and dealing with a cultural clash with her "boring" and mundane childhood in the Midwest of the US.

Darren Star, the Emmy-nominated creator and showrunner of Emily in Paris returned to direct the second season, which became Netflix's most-watched comedy series of 2020. Returning series regulars Philippine Leroy Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Camille Razat, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, and William Abadie, as well as frequent guest actress Kate Walsh and new cast members Lucien Laviscount, Jeremy O. Harris, and Arnaud Binard, reprise their roles as Emily Cooper. Emily in Paris is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions, and Jax Media.
