After losing the T20I and ODI series against India, England must recover soon as they play South Africa in a packed series consisting of three ODIs, three T20I, and three Test matches.

The first ODI was played on July 19 at Riverside Ground with the England team losing by 62 runs to South Africa and conceding a 1-0 lead to the Proteas. The second match will take place at Old Trafford in Manchester, and England will want to bounce back. In the first game, the attention was all on England's Ben Stokes, who was playing his final ODI after announcing his retirement from the format last week.

Jos Butler, who is captaining the England squad, will be looking for his first series win at the helm. Sam Curran, Johnny Bairstow, Matthew Potts and Joe Root are expected to be in the team for the second ODI.

Jos Buttler's captaincy in white ball didn't start well, as he lost both the T20I and ODI series versus India at home. So should be motivated to win his debut series as England captain. Although England's bowling has been impressive, the batting seems to have been a matter of concern. Excluding the third and final ODI versus India, England struggled to reach the 250-run benchmark.

South Africa, on the other side, returned to international cricket after a lengthy absence. Keshav Maharaj, the captain of the South African squad, will head the team that includes David Miller, Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks and several others.

The second match will begin at 5:30 PM IST, and the final match will start at 3:30 PM IST. The matches will be televised on Sony Sports Network and can be streamed on SonyLIV and OTTplay.
