xActors often undergo extensive training programmes to get into the shoes of their characters. After playing a role for a long time, an actor may begin to imbibe elements of his on-screen character, making the shift to a new one a difficult experience. And one such example is Sumedh Mudgalkar. Sumedh, who is known for playing Lord Krishna in the TV series, Radha Krishna, will next be seen playing Darkie in Disney+ Hotstar's upcoming social thriller Escaype Live a role totally opposite to his earlier character.

Sumedh recently talked about his experience, transitioning from one character to another. In his statement, he said how one’s mental process are also impacted, especially when it's a heavenly character like Lord Krishna, who teaches the best way to deal with the world, our own self, the internal fights, and everything. He teaches about insight and how to deal with worldly matters in a proper manner.

Darkie, on the other hand, is pole apart. He said, “I had to unlearn a lot of moral learnings that I had gained throughout this procedure and had to take a day to get into the skin of my character. Darkie’s persona is loud and ambitious. He wants to be a superstar at any cost! He doesn't have a filter of what's good or wrong, he just knows what he wants and he gets it.” He added that he took a complete day to forget everything and get into Darkie's loud attitude. He hopes the audience recognises and appreciates the challenge he has taken on and the effort he has put into this character.
