Exclusive! Afwaah's Sumeet Vyas: My choices are a reflection of my political ideology

The actor lets us in on how he chooses films and web series

Sumeet Vyas has appeared in web series and films that have some socio-political context. Be it TVF Tripling Season 3, Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke, Chhatriwali, Mrs. Undercover, or Afwaah, the common thread is that they all have some social message.

When asked if his choice of projects is a reflection of his political beliefs and ideology, Sumeet told OTTplay, "Yes. Being a performing artist, I want to express my opinions through my work. I do that through plays, films, or web series that I associate with. When I say that, I am referring to the story and not necessarily the character that I play. Of course, it is a reflection of my opinions on things that are happening around me. That isn't something I will be able to do through a tweet or social media post. It used to bother me how WhatsApp forwards and social media rumours would become so intense that it could take people's lives."

The actor was last seen in Sudhir Mishra's film Afwaah, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
