Recently, Regina Cassandra won the hearts of Hindi audiences when she played the iconic character of Mrinalini Sarabhai in the celebrated web series Rocket Boys. This she followed with her action packed performance in Shoorveer. Now Regina is gearing up for two more web series - Farzi and Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke (JHK).

The upcoming series JHK revolves around her character in the show, Kavya Iyer, a police officer. In a conversation with OTTplay, the actress says the offer of the show brought about both exciting and scary thoughts in her mind, that eventually made her take up the show happily.

Regina told OTTplay, "I was surely excited about the offer because it is the next step in my OTT career and overall it is a scary thought for me. This is the first time a whole show is mounted and the responsibility is on my shoulders. It is a huge opportunity but also too much to deal with...so I was excited and scared at the same time. But if I put the fear out then it does make a lot of sense to do a show like this."

She went on adding, "It is a very different opportunity because in the past I played a Bharatnatyam dancer, an airforce pilot and of course, they are very unique. But doing so many actions and also some of the very emotionally intense parts in the same character because the graph is such...it is like a thali for me. It is like a wholesome meal into which I can pour myself into it, which I did for three months of the shoot. So Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke is unique."

The show, directed by Srijit Mukherji, also stars Barun Sobti, Sumeet Vyas, Gayathri Shanker, Deepika Amin and Sandeep Dhabale, among others. It will be available to stream on ZEE5 and OTTplay on January 26.
