The entire industry was keenly looking forward to the result of director Sekhar Kammula's Love Story as the film opened in theatres across the globe on September 24. The success of the Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi starrer wasn't for its producers alone given it has also sprung back belief in the entire industry that crowds are ready to throng theatres all over again. The film had recently surpassed the collections of Akshay Kumar's Bell Bottom as well and its victorious run was unaffected by the release of Sai Dharam Tej starrer Republic. Now, Love Story is all set to spread its wings across other languages.

Yes, the film is going to be dubbed across all South Indian languages (apart from Telugu) including Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. A source close to the film confirms, "We're working on the dubbed versions of Love Story now and will be wrapping the dubbing related formalities shortly. While the film is meant to be released in these languages, we're not sure if they will directly release in theatres. They're likely to have a digital premiere on OTT platforms. We don't have a word on it yet."

Telugu OTT platform aha has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Love Story (in Telugu i.e.), though the film may release digitally only after 50 days of its theatrical release date. Sekhar Kammula has already completed 50% of his script for his next collaboration with Dhanush, a Tamil, Telugu, Hindi trilingual, touted to be a socio-political thriller. "It just took one appointment and a 30-minute narration to get a yes from Dhanush. I was overjoyed by how this project materialised so quickly. This is a story that has the bandwidth to work for audiences across multiple languages," he said.
