Don Lee aka Ma Dong-seok cast as Tygo

The official announcement for the Korean action film Tygo confirmed that Don Lee would play the lead role in the feature film. That's right - he would be seen as the former child soldier turned mercenary. Squid Game famed Lee Jin-uk is seen in the role of his rival. The actor told Variety that he has been a fan of Extraction and is especially excited to work with Don Lee.

Lisa, who makes her feature film debut with Tygo said, “I’m so honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible actors. Being in an action movie has always been a dream of mine, so for my film debut to be such an exciting project feels very special.”

Directed by Lee Sang-yong of The Outlaws 2 fame and penned by Cha Woo-jin, Extraction: Tygo is the story of how the mercenary launches a revenge mission through Korea's criminal underworld after an operation goes awry. Tygo had started filming in October 2025. the makers were looking for a right time to make an official announcement regarding the project. The movie, also based on an original graphic novel created by Anthony and Joe Russo with Ande Parks, is expected to conclude by mid-January 2026.
