Farhad Samji on 'directing' Hera Pheri 3: Official announcement is yet to come

Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty will be reprising their iconic roles in the third instalment of the hit franchise.

Hera Pheri which stars Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty, have dialogues that have been praised for a long time. Through the use of memes and humour, fans were able to keep the movie alive on social media, which wasn't lost on industry insiders.

Farhad Samji will direct the third version of the movie. He says that it can't be called a comeback film because people are still interested in the first two versions.

He claimed to Mid Day that, via memes and satellite screenings, Hera Pheri has survived all these years. The sorts of movies that endure forever in people's hearts and in popular culture are Hera Pheri, Munna Bhai and Golmaal respectively.

Samji has made several good movies that show how good he is at what he does, but fans of the series seem to be worried about the next one since Priyadarshan and the late Neeraj Vohra directed the last two.

To which he replied that he has yet to make his appointment as director official. Samji said that they should let things happen so that they may talk about them afterwards.

In the meantime, he plans to put all of his energy into his new show, Pop Kaun. A guy with numerous fathers is the subject of the Disney+ Hotstar project.

The filmmaker added that he could still picture the exact second he focused on the title. It was necessary to address the notion of a guy having numerous dads. When they guessed Pop Kaun the fun started. It denotes two things: first, one may watch the series while munching on popcorn, and second, it pertains to the story itself.

The series has an ensemble cast that includes Kunal Kemmu, Saurabh Shukla, Johny Level, Rajpal Yadav, Ashwini Kalsekar, Chunky Panday, Nupur Sanon, Jamie Lever, and the late Satish Kaushik.
