While one talks about football, fans mostly talks about the greats namely Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi among others, however, there is one such hero who always gets under-represented despite playing for a nations and making the country proud - Sunil Chhetri.

The Indian football team skipper is one of India’s most revered sporting icons and now FIFA, took it upon themselves to speak about the footballer.

The International football’s governing body created a special docuseries to show Chhetri’s stellar career and titled it 'Captain Fantastic'. The docuseries is available on FIFA+ and has three episodes.

FIFA World Cup tweeted about the docuseries and wrote, "You know all about Ronaldo and Messi, now get the definitive story of the third highest scoring active men’s international. Captain Fantastic is available on FIFA+ now."

Soon as the news broke, fans started flooding the comments sections and even spreading the news across social media. Among them were former Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli, his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and also actor Kartik Aaryan.

Kartik Aaryan reposted FIFA World Cup's post on Instagram and praised Sunil Chhetri.

Talking about Indian football, the Men in Blue have not yet competed in the FIFA World Cup. Despite that, the captain is among the leading goal scoreres in the world.

Chhetri currently sits on the third spot as the highest goal scorer in international football among active players. While Ronaldo tops the list with 117 goals, Messi is on the second spot with 90 goals.

The Indian captain is only six goals behind Messi's tally and several experts believe he could displace the Argentine star as the second-highest goal scorer in international football.
