The film artist recently appeared on the chat show Har Ghadi Mauj, hosted by the Gujarati actor Ojas Rawal.

Filmmaker Dhwani Gautam recently revealed that Gujarati artists aren't paid to perform at weddings. While they might very rarely be invited to dance at the ceremony, the artists don't get paid for presenting their act.
In a segment on Ojas Rawal's chat show Har Ghadi Mauj, the host asked Dhwani Gautam about the last place where he had danced. The filmmaker recalled it was at his home, before spilling that nobody invites Gujarati artists to dance at weddings and pays them for doing that.
"Hum Gujarati logon ko koi bulaata nahi hai shaadi mein naachne ke liye. Paisa de ke (Nobody invites us Gujarati artists to dance at their weddings. Even if they do, they don't pay us)," he shared. Making light of the situation, Ojas said, "They pay you? Tell me where. Burrah!"

Being a regional cinema, the Gujarati film industry is still a growing one. It was established a few years back and is currently recognised as Dhollywood. It has introduced some talented actors like Pratik Gandhi and Ojas himself.
Meanwhile, various Bollywood celebrities have accepted that they would dance at weddings to earn extra money. While Shah Rukh Khan has spoken about it on several occasions, we have witnessed A-list actress Katrina Kaif also dance at high-profile weddings. The same even became a part of a Netflix series.
On the other hand, no Gujarati celebrity has been spotted grooving at weddings so far. There has been no news about them being offered such a thing, either.
