The popular television series Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein is in the news for all the wrong reasons. A massive fire broke out on the show's set in Film City, Mumbai, on Friday, causing significant damage to the Star Plus production by Cockrow and Shaika Entertainment.

While there were no reported casualties, a few people suffered injuries.

Reports suggest that a fire sequence was being filmed when a safety lapse caused the fire to spread rapidly. Although the crew and actors were rescued quickly, the fire caused extensive damage to the set, including that of other TV shows, Teri Meri Dooriyaann and Ajooni.

To extinguish the fire, five fire trucks, two large hose lines, nine pumps, and other tools were deployed. Municipal Corporation and Film City Authorities have filed a notice against the show's makers due to their alleged negligence.

Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, head of the All Indian Cine Workers Association, provided details of the incident and called for a FIR to be filed against the channel, production company, and producers of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein. He also requested an inquiry into the Film City director's role in the incident.

A spokesperson from Cockrow and Shaika Entertainment stated, “A fire engulfed the sets of Ghum Hain Kisikey Pyaar Mein this afternoon. All our employees, artists, contractors, and other partners who were present on-site are safe.”

The spokesperson said that the company is investigating the cause of the incident and the extent of the damage. Their priority is the safety of their crew while ensuring continued entertainment for their viewers.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein, which features a love triangle between Sai (played by Ayesha Singh), Virat (played by Neil Bhatt), and Patralekha (played by Aishwarya Sharma), is a hit soap opera that airs daily at 8 pm on Star Plus.-
