Vaa Vaathiyaar, the Karthi-starrer action comedy, made its streaming debut within two weeks of its release and now available to watch. Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, Vaa Vaathiyaar is about a cop who grew up under the wings his grandfather, an ardent MGR fan. While the grandfather thinks that his grandson is a reincarnation of the star, the cop turns corrupt only to come back to correct ways after his alter ego takes over. Parasakthi is a period political drama helmed by filmmaker Sudha Kongara. Set in the 1960s, it follows two brothers, Chezhiyan and Chinnadurai, who become deeply involved in the anti-Hindi imposition agitations in Tamil Nadu, resisting the central government’s push to make Hindi compulsory. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela, with GV Prakash scoring the music.
Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil is a Tamil comedy-drama directed by Nithish Sahadev. The film centres on Jeevarathinam, a village panchayat president who must make sure that a wedding and funeral that take place in houses next door, must not clash. As it leads to family feuds and comedic chaos, the rest of the film is how it acts as a test to his leadership. The ensemble cast includes Jiiva, Prathana Nathan, Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu, Jenson Dhivakar, Sarjin Kumar, and others.
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is a Telugu action-comedy film written and directed by Anil Ravipudi. It stars Chiranjeevi in the titular role of Shankara Vara Prasad, a national security officer who strives to protect his estranged wife and children while trying to reunite his family. The cast also includes Nayanthara, Venkatesh in a cameo, with Catherine Tresa and VTV Ganesh in supporting roles. The film blends comedy, action, and emotions.
