From Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai to Katrina Kaif: Salman Khan and his many relationships

The Bollywood superstar is also rumoured to have dated Zareen Khan, Daisy Shah and now, Pooja Hegde

The Bhai of Bollywood, Salman Khan, has been anything but a bhai for a slew of beauties over the years. This includes top Bollywood divas such as Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif, Sangeeta Bijlani, and, if current rumours are to be believed, Pooja Hegde. Salman has managed to remain one of the most eligible bachelors over the decades, and his appeal hasn't diminished even in his 50s.

As the Bollywood superstar turns 57, we take a look at the many relationships that he has had over the years, and the many hearts that have broken along the way...

1) Sangeeta Bijlani: Salman and Sangeeta began dating each other even before they made their acting debuts. They started seeing each other in 1986, and were so serious that they almost got married. Despite their history, the two remain friends even today.

2) Somy Ali: Salman and Somy, a former Bollywood actress of Pakistani-American origin, reportedly dated in the early 90s. Over the years, Somy has accused Salman of physical abuse and claims that she is not the only woman that he has assaulted.

3) Faria Alam: The former Football Association secretary from Bangladesh reportedly dated the Bollywood superstar in 1996. Although Faria has spoken about Salman being in her life, the latter has always denied that the two were together.

4) Aishwarya Rai: Salman and Aishwarya reportedly began dating each other on the set of their 1999 hit film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. They were among the most talked-about couples in cinema, and it looked like they would walk down the aisle. But things took a turn for the worse after midnight drama in November 2001, leading to the couple breaking up a few months later.

5) Katrina Kaif: Salman began dating Katrina in 2005, and the two went on to star in several films together, including Yuvraaj, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Hello and Partner. They seemed to be going strong, before parting ways in 2010. They continue to remain friends.

6) Zareen Khan: Soon after his breakup with Katrina, Salman was rumoured to date Zareen – who bears a striking resemblance to Katrina. Zareen made her acting debut in Salman's 2010 film Veer, but both actors have denied being together.

7) Iulia Vantur: Salman first met Iulia in Romania when he was on a recce for his 2011 film Jai Ho. Apparently, the two spent a lot of time together in Romania, and continued to stay in touch after Salman's return. Soon, Iulia became part of the Khan-daan, which she remains to be even after their breakup.

8) Hazel Keech: Before she started dating ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Hazel is rumoured to have dated Salman. The actress debuted in Salman's 2011 film Bodyguard and the two reportedly hit it off on the set of the film.

9) Daisy Shah: Daisy, who made her Bollywood debut in Salman's 2014 film Jai Ho, has often referred to him as her "go-to man" and "2 am friend", and has said that he plays many roles in her life. But both actors have always denied that there was any romance between them.

10) Pooja Hegde: If the grapevine is to be believed, then Salman and his Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-star Pooja are in love and the two are going strong. Despite the many stories that have been doing the rounds, both the actors have remained tightlipped about the rumours.
