Telugu star Adivi Sesh is busy with back-to-back projects. After Dacoit: Oka Prema Katha, Adivi Sesh has another spy thriller film G2, which is the sequel to the 2018 film Goodachari. The upcoming Telugu film, which also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, has confirmed its OTT partner to be Prime Video.

G2, which is the Goodachari sequel, was among the list of titles unveiled by Prime Video for its 2026 slate. The Telugu thriller film will drop on the platform after its theatrical run.

Wamiqa Gabbi plays the female lead in the film. The film’s lead actor was all praise for Wamiqa’s performance at the Prime Video Event on Thursday. Hindi actor Emraan Hashmi will reportedly play a negative role. Madhu Shalini and Prakash Raj are also part of the movie, directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi.

When will G2 release in theatres

The upcoming Telugu thriller film G2 will hit theatres on May 1, 2026. Adivi Sesh has two upcoming movies, releasing this Summer. G2 comes barely a month after Dacoit: Oka Prema Katha, which hits theatres on April 10. Initially, Dacoit was a March 27 release, but got postponed amid the hype surrounding Dhurandhar 2. Notably, both films are headed to Prime Video after their theatrical run.

What is G2 movie plot

Adivi Sesh returns with the sequel of Goodachari, almost 8 years after the first film. The upcoming film will continue with the story of an Indian spy, which unfolds six years after the events of Goodachari. Agent Gopi is on an international mission which will also unravel truths from his past. The action-packed film promises to be 'a thrilling spectacle of twists and turns'. The movie delves into themes of patriotism and sacrifice.

Adivi Sesh has also contributed to the story along with the director Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi.
