It's Unni Mukundan's birthday today and the actor has been sharing one update after the other from his upcoming films. The latest is the title announcement poster from his upcoming film Gandharva Jr in which he is said to be playing a gandharvan (celestial being). In Hindu scriptures, Gandharvas are considered divine beings who are musicians and singers. The title announcement poster has the actor playing a celestial being falling down to the earth from space. The film was announced by Prithviraj Sukumaran and Tovino Thomas.
Taking to his social media handle, Unni Mukundan wrote, "Unveiling the title announcement poster of #GandharvaJr, directed by @VishnuAravind10, produced by @films.littlebig & @jminfotainment, @prasobhkrishna , written by Praveen Prabharam @timbuktu.man & @sujinsujathan ! @gandharvajrmovie Gandharva jr (sic)."

The film is said to be a fun-filled fantasy comedy and will be on the lines of the films Naradhan Keralathil, Pappan Priyapetta Pappan and Sakshal Sreeman Chattunni. It will be helmed by debutant Vishnu Aravind, a former associate in Second Show and Kalki. The plot is scripted by Kalki writers Praveen Prabharam and Sujin Sujathan.

Apart from Unni, the rest of the star cast is yet to be announced. The film's co-producer Prasobh Krishna had earlier told OTTplay that the shoot is likely to begin by January 2023. It's a film that will be made on a huge budget and will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.

Earlier in the day, Unni Mukundan also announced his next project, Yemaha. In the meantime, Unni also has a series of projects in his kitty, which includes Shefeekkinte Santhosham, helmed by Anoop Pandalam, Bruce Lee directed by Vysakh, Yashoda opposite Samantha, Mindiyum Paranjum with Arun Bose and Vishnu Sasi Shankar's Malikkappuram. It looks like the actor has quite a packed year with a series of films lined up for release.
