Gangers, the recently released Tamil film starring Sundar C and Vadivelu in the lead roles, is all set to make its OTT debut. As we had earlier reported, Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. The commercial potboiler will stream on the platform from May 15 onwards in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada.

Gangers OTT release date: When and where to stream Sundar C-Vadivelu film
Actor and filmmaker Sundar C, after a long gap, had paired up with comedian Vadivelu in the recently released Tamil film Gangers. The comical duo who are known for their films like London Winner, reunited for Gangers, another commercial entertainer. The film released in theatres in April and following its theatrical run, is set for OTT release. Prime Video will premiere Gangers on May 14 in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada.

After the successes of Aranmanai 4 and Madha Gaja Raja, Sundar C acted and directed Gangers. The film also features actors Catherine Tresa, Munishkanth, Bagavathi Perumal, among others. Gangers has screenplay and dialogues by Venkatt Raghavan, with music by C. Sathya. The technical crew also includes E. Krishnasamy cranking the camera and editor Praveen Antony.
What is Gangers about?
Gangers is set in a village and is about a teacher who complains about a missing school girl. While we see a cop assigned in mufti to solve the case, the film is about a newly joined PT teacher who soon plots a heist with a motley group of characters. The film opened to mixed reviews, with many praising the climax heist portions.
It is to be noted that while Sundar C’s Gangers is set to make its OTT debut, the filmmaker’s previous film, Madha Gaja Raja which released earlier this year after 12-year-long delay, is yet to be made available for streaming. Madha Gaja Raja, starring Vishal, Santhanam and others, became the first blockbuster in Tamil cinema this year.
