Each episode is expected to reimagine the story of one such person, blending dramatic retellings with real events. This series explores how exploitation and economic hardship transform ordinary people into feared criminals.

Announcing the series a few days ago, Paoli wrote in Instagram in Bengali, "They were among us and still are. Those who have created terror in the heart of Bengal, it is time to come face to face with them."

The cast of Ganoshotru features Paoli Dam, Rudranil Ghosh, Ayush Das, Debopriyo Mukherjee, and Subrat Dutta. The film is directed by Srimanta Senguptta, Modhura Palit, Sayan Dasgupta, Abhirup Ghosh, and Samik Roy Chowdhury. The film is edited by Amit Pal, while Udayan D takes the credit for the music.

The showrunner of the series is Srimanta Senguptta, and it is produced by Bangla Talkies.
