The sequel to the 2022 Tamil action-drama film Gatta Kusthi has been announced. Actor Vishnu Vishal, who starred and produced the first part, will be resuming his roles for the second part as well. An announcement video was released by the makers on social media on Monday.

On Monday, a new sequel was announced. Actor Vishnu Vishal, who starred in the 2022 Tamil film Gatta Kusthi, made the announcement through a video. It shows the actor meeting a fellow producer as Vishnu Vishal says he is working on the sequel to his film.

After a couple of guesses about whether the sequel is based on his previous films, it is then revealed that it is Gatta Kusthi. We see the flashes from the first part, with Aishwarya Lekshmi and other cast members announcing the second part. Director Chella Ayyavu, who helmed the first part, also speaks about the opportunities of the second part, promising ample exploration of the lives of the lead characters.

Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi, who played the leads in the first part will be reuniting for the second part, with the director resuming his duties. Actors Karunaas, Muniskanth, Kaali Venkat and others are also part of Gatta Kusthi 2. The sequel will also have a fresh technical crew, with music by Sean Roldan, replacing Justin Prabhakaran. The film will be shot by KM Bhaskaran and the editor is Barath Vikraman. A release date is yet to be announced.
