Gehraiyaan: Ananya Panday says Shakun Batra’s film has made her fall in love with acting

Ananya Panday plays an important role in the movie starring Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi

Gehraiyaan is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year and it is edging ever closer to its release. Ananya Panday, who plays an important role in the movie, has now opened up about her experience, filming for the relationship drama.

Talking in an interview with BT, the actor said, “With this movie, I have fallen in love with the process of acting, and I have discovered the tipping point or the beginning of my process as an actor going forward.”

The actor, now 23-years-old, also said that she shot for the movie when she was 21 and she has seen herself grow and it has been captured in the movie, which she says is an observational film and does not spoon-feed the audience about what they should feel at some point.

Also talking about how the movie affected her as a person, Panday said that it helped her stop being judgemental about relationships and things that she is not aware of.

Co-written and directed by Shakun Batra, the movie is jointly produced by Dharma Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Jouska Films. With Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead roles, the movie also stars Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur, among others.

The movie, which has already captured the attention of the audience with its trailer, is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022.

Panday was last seen in the action flick Khaali Peeli co-starring Ishaan Khatter and directed by Maqbool Khan. She is also working on the bi-lingual Liger which is directed by Puri Jagannadh and has Vijay Deverakonda in the lead, playing a kickboxer.
