Century Star Shivarajkumar’s Dasara hit Ghost, in which he enthralled fans with not one but three avatars, each of which was special in its own way, is now on OTT. The MG Srinivas directorial had a decent theatrical run and was then picked up by Zee Network for the digital rights. As of today, November 17, the film is on Zee5 with Kannada and Telugu audio. The Kannada original will feature Shivarajkumar and Jayaram’s voices, with the latter having dubbed in Kannada and Tamil only.

To celebrate the release of Ghost, which Zee5 has been promoting widely on social media, the streamer has an on-ground event in Bengaluru today. At 2 pm, a massive 10,000 sq ft poster of Shivarajkumar will be unveiled at the MES Grounds in Jayanagar to celebrate the world digital premiere of Ghost on the platform. A helicopter bearing the poster will fly above the grounds and unveil it.

Ghost movie review: Shivarajkumar and MG Srinivas deliver on their promise of action heist thriller; it's fun, stylish and has substance too

Ghost is Shivarajkumar’s first collaboration with Srinivas, with many more in store. While the duo had initially said that there would be more films in the Ghost universe, following the success of the movie, they’ve also announced a spin-off based on one of the characters – Dalavayi Muddanna – that Shivarajkumar plays in the film. Ghost, meanwhile, is a heist thriller that plays out within the premise of a prison block for the most part. When an armed gang infiltrates a prison on the day it is announced to be privatised and, hence, renovated, and takes one of the officials in charge – a retired CBI officer – hostage, it is up to shrews officer Chengappa (Jayaram) to figure out who has orchestrated this situation and its purpose.

It is then revealed that the person running this operation is a dreaded gangster who’d been presumed dead for years. Is it really the Big Daddy of Masses or an impostor? This is what Ghost explores. The film also has Prashant Narayan and Dattanna, among others, in a pivotal roles, but the major chunk of confrontation is between Shivarajkumar and Jayaram, with the latter even dubbing for his role in the Kannada original.

Ghost is now streaming on Zee5 Kannada; you can also access it on OTTplay Premium
