The heartwarming Tamil film Good Night has captured the hearts of family audiences in Tamil Nadu, quickly becoming a favourite at the box office this year. Written and directed by Vinayak Chandrasekaran, the movie revolves around the challenges faced by a man dealing with the issue of snoring.

Kichcha 46 teaser review: Sudeep's depiction of violence raises concerns

The film was released in cinemas on May 12 without a lot of fanfare or media buzz. However, positive word of mouth and glowing reviews propelled the film to gain momentum. Despite its modest budget, the movie turned out to be a profitable venture for its producers, proving the power of engaging storytelling.

Good Night stars K Manikandan in the lead. His character is named Mohan, an ordinary man working a regular 9 to 5 job in Chennai. From the trailer, it is evident that Mohan finds contentment in life, with a caring and happy family, a steady paycheck, and even a marriage to a woman he loves. However, his snoring problems pose a threat to everything he holds dear. While snoring may appear to be a minor issue, it soon takes on a larger significance.

Manikandan's performance showcases the complexities of a man desperately trying to find a solution for his disorder through healthier choices.

Apart from Manikandan's impressive portrayal, Good Night also features, memorable performances from Meetha Raghunath, Ramesh Thilak, Bucks, and Balaji Shakthivel. Adding to the film's charm is the musical score composed by Sean Roldan.
